In our final A-Z blog post we look at letters S-Z where we look back at supplying temporary kitchens to Bahrain, celebrating an employee’s milestone and more!

S is for Steve Rudge

At the start of the year, Steve marked a special milestone as he celebrated working 30 years for PKL. Over the years, Steve has worked on approximately 2,000 projects including an installation for the Great British Menu TV show, a number of Oxford and Cambridge Colleges and projects overseas.

T is for Taunton School

Taunton School wanted to build a new dining space and kitchen to better serve the needs of its students, staff and visitors. We seamlessly installed a 12-bay kitchen facility consisting of prep, production, dry/cold storage and an office space which now provides up to 1,400 meals per day.

U is for U-Select

Our sister company U-Select is helping new and expanding businesses get their hands on brand new catering equipment quickly and easily thanks to its fantastic rental and lease finance options. The company has just turned four and we couldn’t be prouder of its successes!

V is for Villa in France

We were contacted to create the perfect catering setup for an exclusive villa in the South of France to support a planned summer of fun events for friends and family for their client. Despite the narrow, twisty streets, the temporary kitchen units were installed without a hitch.

W is for Work Social Events

Here at PKL we have our very own social committee who organise events throughout the year for all members of staff to participate in. This year we’ve done a wide range of events such as Clay Pigeon Shooting, Go Ape, Crazy Golf, Bowling, Witcombe Cider Festival and our annual Summer and Christmas party!

X is for Xmas Hires

We’ve been extremely busy throughout the Christmas period supplying catering equipment and temporary kitchens to a range of Christmas events. If you have any last-minute requirements or have been let down at short notice, we can help you out and get you back up and running!

Y is for Yipee

This year PKL celebrated all it’s employees on International Women’s and Men’s Days, March 8 and November 19. Bringing our teams together for two fantastic shots, we got to highlight the contribution these individuals have made to our ongoing success. Thanks to each and every one of them!

Z is for Zoom

Earlier this year we delivered 15 production and preparation kitchens for the paddock at Bahrain’s International Circuit. The kitchen units were built and prepared at our Cheltenham base before being shipped over to the Middle East as a surprise for the Bahrain team chefs!
