Our temporary kitchen units and catering equipment are covered by a 24/7 technical support service, which means that if anything should go wrong we can have you up and running again as quickly as possible.

In-House Catering Equipment Engineers

We employ our own team of in-house catering equipment engineers who know our equipment inside out and are therefore best placed to be able to fix any problems as quickly as possible. As our engineers are in-house, it means that we are able to plan any visits around a time that suits you best.

In some cases, we may use the service of sub-contractors who have undergone a rigorous approval process and in most cases have worked with PKL for many years.

Qualified Engineers

Our technical support engineers hold appropriate qualifications for the work that they will be undertaking, including GasSafe and F-Gas qualifications. PKL is also CHAS and SafeContractor registered and holds a Gold Level CSCS certificate.

Preventative Maintenance Visits

For longer term hires, we can work with you to plan a series of preventative maintenance visits to ensure that any potential problems in your kitchen are identified as quickly as possible and are dealt with before they can cause any serious issues. In addition, it gives your staff a chance to undertake a kitchen walk around with our engineers to go through any questions they may have regarding the operation of the equipment.

Kitchen and Equipment Operating Guides

As standard, we provide bespoke, easy to read user guides for all items of catering equipment and operation guides for our temporary kitchen
units to ensure their correct and safe usage.

Instant Communication with Tablet Computers

All of our technical support engineers are equipped with tablet computers. This provides an automated process that enables all technical support and preventative maintenance visits to be recorded electronically and reported straight back to our technical support centre instantly, where the details of the visit are stored electronically. Each tablet computer is also equipped with a full range of technical information about each item of our catering equipment, helping to speed up the technical support process by providing our engineers with all the information they need in one place.
