PKL Contingency Checklist

PKL has developed a contingency checklist, to help ensure speedy delivery and installation of emergency temporary kitchens or catering equipment. The checklist includes a range of factors to consider including:

Access roads and surrounding infrastructure

Any roads that may cause problems for a lorry to access and any obstructions such as tree branches, low bridges or weight restrictions.

Site preparation

Ensuring that there is sufficient space on site for a temporary kitchen or items of additional catering equipment and a reasonably level and firm area to site units. You may need to give consideration to extra space needed for access ramps and links to additional buildings on site.

Mains Services

Consideration must be given to factors such as sufficient drainage and whether there is available water, gas and electricity supply on site

We can also assist you with planning for extra facilities for times when you are faced with an increase in the demand for food. This can range from additional production equipment to cold and dry storage facilities such as additional refrigerators or cold rooms.
