We were delighted to sponsor the Caterer of the Year category at this year’s Sustainable Restaurant Association’s Food Made Good Awards.
John and Ciaran, from our U-Select division and events team respectively, attended the awards ceremony yesterday afternoon. During the pre-awards networking, they had the opportunity to chat with lots of new contacts, and also met Raymond Blanc who was there to present his Sustainability Hero award to Jamie Oliver.
The event itself involved a delicious vegetarian meal catered by Petersham Nurseries, who are regular event clients of ours, so it was great for John and Ciaran to experience one of their fantastic menus first hand. The tables also featured amazing edible (mostly!) centrepieces which were a real talking point!
The award presentations took place between each course of the meal, and John had the honour of presenting the Caterer of the Year winners, bartlett mitchell, with their award.
John and Ciaran had a great afternoon meeting lots of new people in the industry, and also enjoyed chatting to award winners including bio-bean and KSG who John shared a table with.
We had a brilliant time at the awards, and being part of such a great event by sponsoring the Caterer of the Year category was the icing on the cake!
