PKL offers a range of kitchen contingency planning services to help should you be faced with an unexpected emergency, such as the sudden loss of catering facilities at short notice due to factors such as fire, loss of power, flooding, or equipment breakdown.
We offer a full range of kitchen contingency planning services, which can include a visit to site to assess your catering operation. This will enable us to provide you with your own personalised kitchen contingency plan, ensuring that if you are faced with a sudden emergency, you are fully prepared and help is only a phone call away.

PKL Contingency Checklist
PKL has developed a contingency checklist, to help ensure speedy delivery and installation of emergency temporary kitchens or catering equipment. The checklist includes a range of factors to consider including:
Access roads and surrounding infrastructure
Any roads that may cause problems for a lorry to access and any obstructions such as tree branches, low bridges or weight restrictions.
Site preparation
Ensuring that there is sufficient space on site for a temporary kitchen or items of additional catering equipment and a reasonably level and firm area to site units. You may need to give consideration to extra space needed for access ramps and links to additional buildings on site.
Mains Services
Consideration must be given to factors such as sufficient drainage and whether there is available water, gas and electricity supply on site
