Wojciech’s Journey at PKL

Wojciech, one of our engineers, has gone on a bit of a journey since he joined the company, illustrating the opportunities offered by PKL.

Wojciech has now been at PKL for more than 14 years. He joined as a cleaner just after arriving in England fresh from school.

He enjoyed working at the company and stayed as a cleaner for 7 years.

He then decided that he wanted a new challenge and moved to the warehouse for two years, however when an opportunity to train as an engineer came up, Wojciech realised he could challenge himself in new ways.

Three years of study in his second language pushed him to his limit, especially written exams, as he had never had an English lesson in his life!

After passing a couple of years ago Wojciech has been successfully plying his trade as an engineer, but still wants to do more. He’s planning on learning about refrigeration next, as he keeps pushing himself to improve and achieve more.

“I like being challenged and seeing the results of what I do – which is why I loved being a cleaner and working in the warehouse so much. Studying for my qualifications was great, although exams in English were a little tricky! I was relieved and happy to pass and I’m very grateful to PKL for helping me get these qualifications. I love working here and have a great time,” he said.
