13 Event Kitchens Supplied at Wilderness Festival

PKL supplied four coldrooms and over 350 items of catering equipment for Wilderness Festival 2016, supporting premium dining experiences that were spread over 13 different locations on site.

This included a CPU kitchen to the “Dining Room” which was used to produce meals for six pop-up restaurants set around one marquee with communal dining, and the Chef’s Table, an intimate dining experience with a range of top chefs. In addition we also supplied catering equipment for a selection of large scale luxury banqueting restaurants and for the Boutique Camping area.

Our equipment was used to serve more than 7,000 sit down meals throughout the festival, so quality and reliability was of paramount importance. Catering equipment in each area was specified by the individual caterers, so we worked closely with each one to create a kitchen design to suit their individual menu requirements.

With 13 locations to support at Wilderness, we supplied our innovative, bespoke e-Handover Packs to each site, customised with detailed information for each specific kitchen. This was backed up by our 24-hour technical support line, with catering equipment engineers on call in case of equipment failure.

PKL also supplied a similar amount of equipment to the Wilderness Festival in 2015.
