At the start of 2022, a 62-bed care home underwent a multimillion-pound refurbishment project, and part of this development involved the renovation of the kitchen and laundry facility.
The care home still needed to be able to provide the 48 residents and staff with breakfast, lunch, tea, and snacks, along with the occasional special events that were held, and required a solution to ensure that this was possible.
Having worked previously with PKL at another of their sites, they knew that they were in capable and experienced hands for the project ahead and reached out again to get planning of an effective solution.

Working closely with PKL’s sales, design, and operations team, a temporary kitchen solution was delivered and installed which consisted of a mini kitchen, laundry unit, dishwash unit, walk in fridge, and a walk-in freezer, which will be on-site for approximately 6 weeks until the works are completed.
