Tennants Auctioneers is a well-established family run auction house who specialise in fine art, country house, antiques and interiors, and specialist collectors’ sales, undertaking over 100 auctions each year.

As well as an auction house, Tennants also operates a restaurant, serving a varied selection of breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas to customers on a daily basis. Utilising local produce, the restaurant prides itself on the high quality of food that it serves.

When the restaurant kitchen was due for refurbishment, Tennants chose to use a temporary kitchen from PKL to ensure that they were able to stay open while the works took place. PKL supplied a Mini Kitchen equipped with a six burner, a salamander grill, a hot cupboard, a fryer, an undercounter fridge, an undercounter  freezer, sinks, racking and a handwash station. The kitchen provided space for up to three chefs to work simultaneously and was on site for three weeks to ensure that not only did the restaurant stay open, but that they were able to maintain their high quality offer during the refurbishment.

The Mini Kitchen is PKL’s medium sized standalone temporary kitchen unit and is capable of providing up to 500 meals per sitting. It is typically hired by hotels, pubs and restaurants during kitchen refurbishments and is also ideal for nursing homes, event caterers and smaller hospitals.
