Modular Kitchens at Babcock Marine

PKL supplied four modular cafe facilities, which are being used to feed dockside workers at HMS Devonport Royal Naval base.

Contracted by Babcock Marine, each modular facility supplied was branded to reflect the catering operation onsite, and included hot serveries, “grab and go” cold serveries and a production kitchen and wash up area to enable the production of hot meals on site. Each facility is used to serve around 300 people per day.

Due to the sensitive nature of the location, all PKL staff working on the project had to be vetted and security cleared before being allowed to work on the base.

PKL supplied and installed all four facilities to a tight deadline of 10-weeks and were chosen for the project due to work that we had undertaken previously for the MOD, quality of product and price.

As an additional part of the project, PKL also supplied a further two mobile modular “galley” kitchen and dining facilities, which were used to replace catering facilities on Navy ships as they were being fitted out at the docks at Devonport.
