We have supplied kitchen facilities for use at Goodwood for several years. A new caterer won the catering contract this year, and they signed up for a two-year agreement with us based on our previous experience and expertise in supplying to these events. This allowed them to hit the ground running safe in the knowledge that the kitchen facilities would be supplied efficiently, on time and budget, enabling them to focus their energy on the catering itself.
For the most recent events, we supplied over 40 catering areas at both the Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival, and over 20 areas at both the Members’ Meeting and the Qatar Goodwood Festival. Over 800 items of catering equipment were used in total across the four events. Each event had a dedicated project manager, managing a team of around six staff during both the four-day install and break-down periods.
During the events themselves, we not only supplied our innovative e-Handover packs – electronic tablets containing comprehensive equipment and hire information – but we also had up to five catering engineers based on site for the duration of each event, to be on hand in case of equipment breakdown or maintenance requirements due to the incredibly intensive use.
