Long-term kitchen hire by leading pharmaceutical company Client: Leading pharmaceutical company Requirement: Interim kitchen and dining facility to accommodate 200 covers, 3 times a day for its research staff during 3 and a half years Reason for hire: Existing restaurant and kitchen were demolished to make way for the construction of a brand new scientific research centre PKL provided: The turnkey package included design, supply and installation of interim kitchen and dining complex. Foundation piers were constructed to ensure a level base for the facilities. Location: The complex had to be placed on a grassed area, the only space available on site. Time-scale: Three weeks, including site preparation, installation, handover and staff training. Facility includes: 2 x production kitchens, preparation area including walk-in chiller and freezer areas, dry stores, potwash area, staff toilets, office and cash office, dining room - 430sqm including foodservice area, shop and coffee lounge.
