Electrical Safety For situations where gas fuel is not suitable, we can provide electric equipment. The majority of our core catering equipment is available in both gas and electric and our Portable Kitchens are pre-installed with gas manifolds and electrical distribution for either fuel. All you need to do is inform us of your preferred fuel source when you place your order. Electrical Installation All electrical engineers are NIC EIC qualified to City and Guilds 2361. Installations are tested to code 2391 and comply with BS:7671. Each electrical item of equipment is tested after every hire and before delivery to the next customer. All Portable Kitchen units are tested annually in accordance with NIC EIC 16th edition standard. All portable appliances of 13 amp undergo an annual Portable Appliance Test (PAT) each year or after each hire, whichever is the soonest. Commando Socket Connections All electrical equipment is provided with commando plugs and sockets. Within our Portable Kitchens the electrical installation is pre-wired to isolator shut offs, which also makes equipment exchanges and connections instant. For stand alone catering equipment hires, we supply a generous length of steel wired armoured cabling attached to a male commando plug. We also supply the female commando plug, into which your incoming cable is connected. Distribution Boards and Cabling Whether you need to provide distribution to six Portable Kitchens or six items of stand alone equipment, we have a simple and cost effective answer. Weather proof distribution boards and associated cabling. We provide modular distribution equipment from 63amps/240V to 400amp/415V. All installations comply fully with current electrical regulations and all are supplied with appropriate RCD breakers. Each distribution board is sized according to the requirement to allow you to distribute from 3 to 30 supplies. We then also supply all distribution cabling, again all via steel wired armoured cable and ultra safe commando plugs and sockets. Power Generators We provide a complete turnkey package of electrical distribution to include power generation. Ultra silent sound attenuated canopies are available so that both your staff and customers will not even know they are there. Various sized Kva generators are supplied complete with fuel tanks, fuel lines and connection boards. Fuel bunds, maintenance and 24 hour fuel supply are all part of the service.
