Hire Team Our experienced hire team are available 24 hours a day to take you through the process of commercial kitchen rental from PKL. The team deal with thousands of catering equipment and commercial kitchen rental projects each year and are on hand to suggest the best options to suit your needs. They can offer advice on: Choosing catering equipment The most suitable Proven Package Where to site the kitchens and/or equipment They can also provide bespoke options and will liase with our design team to provide a CAD representation of your commercial kitchen rental. After establishing your catering requirements they will provide a detailed quotation and act as your main point of contact throughout the hire.
Planning and Project Management of your Temporary Catering Facilities For large temporary catering faclilties, multiple unit hires or where access or positioning on site is awkward, we have a team of Project Managers who will ensure all aspects of your hire progress smoothly and efficiently. They will liase with you to discuss any queries and will also prepare risk assessments and method statements in accordance with current guidelines and health and safety legislation.
They will also organise any additional services you may require for your temporary catering facilities. Preparation of your Portable Kitchen Hire At PKL we know that our reputation is built on the reliability of our catering equipment and Portable Kitchens. To ensure we meet customer satisfaction time and time again, we have in place strict procedures to test and inspect every Portable Kitchen Hire and individual item of catering equipment that we hire, to ensure that when they arrive on site, they are in perfect working order. Catering equipment is prepared for hire in Kit Heaven, Europe's largest catering equipment test and inspection centre. For every Portable Kitchens Hire our large fleet of kitchens are cleaned and refurbished on The Quay, a purpose-built preparation and despatch wing.
Delivery & Installation We can deliver to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The PKL transport fleet includes 'Hercules' lorry loaders with 47-tonne cranes, flat-bed trucks and trailers as well as smaller vehicles in which to deliver individual catering equipment. Using our own fleet of vehicles and a reliable network of external transport facilities, we can deliver anywhere in the world, by land, sea or air.
Whether it is a Portable Kitchen or catering equipment you hire, a PKL representative will talk you through your order when it is delivered to site. They will be able to answer any questions that you may have. Each kitchen is delivered with a handbook that explains how to safely connect on-site services, operate internal features and how to carry out correct maintenance routines. Alternatively, if you require an individual item of catering equipment in an emergency, it can be couriered to you the next day via our Lock & Load facility.
In addition, we can also help you to install your Portable Kitchen on site by offering a range of specialist services such as: Constructing piers to allow units to be supported off-ground Building platforms for multi-level projects Linking units into existing buildings Connecting steps and ramps Installing and connecting fire and intruder alarms Fitting rodent proof skirting Landscaping

Technical Support All of our equipment is tested and inspected before it leaves our stock holding facility. However, in the event of a malfunction occurring while out on hire, we offer technical support 24 hours a day. You can speak to a PKL technical advisor by calling 01242 663056 Remember - when calling it would be helpful if you could have the equipments barcode number to hand and be positioned near the equipment at the time of calling. With your assistance our service team will then be able to diagnose the problem.
If the problem can't be solved over the phone, a visit by one of our fully qualified engineers will be arranged. If a replacement part is needed we hold over 30,000 in stock at our Parts Management Centre so in the event of a spare being needed, it can be despatched and fitted quickly. At PKL we recognise that equipment out of action is damaging to your business. We will always endeavour to get you back up and running as soon as possible.
Catering Emergency Whatever, your catering emergency you can be assured that PKL can provide a rapid response. You can contact our hire team 24 hours a day by calling 0845 840 4242 Do you require a temporary fully fitted Kitchen? Our fleet includes a large number of ready-to-hire Portable Kitchens. With only a few hours notice we can deliver to site a fully equipped Portable Kitchen. If a refrigeration unit is required, they are kept in storage operating at working temperature, so that in an emergency situation they can be received ready to use. Or is it catering equipment you require? We have over 8,000 items of commercial catering equipment available for hire. Our equipment is always cleaned and tested when it is returned into stock, ensuring that in emergency situations, equipment is immediately available to be sent out. We can deliver anywhere in the world using our own fleet of delivery vehicles and a reliable network of external transport facilities.
